1. Choose a student in your class that you believe could qualify for the gifted program under Plan B. Complete the Gifted Indicators Checklist or a comparable one found in your district's Plan B based on that student. Score the checklist to determine if the student should be considered for eligibility of a gifted program.

2. Write a one page word processed paper that explains why you would or would not recommend this student for testing for the gifted program. Use the data that you collected on the Gifted Indicators Checklist to support your response.

OR

Develop materials for your staff that explains Plan B. Be sure to include the rational for Plan B, the criteria for the students, and characteristics specific to low socioeconomic status (SES) and English Language Learners (ELL) populations.
