Development and Experience of Gifted Students

In Week 1, we discussed the basic definitions of giftedness, and found that there is no one way to define it. We also saw that there are some similarities that are typically “hallmarks” of the gifted student. In this week’s study, we will explore how giftedness develops in children and what it’s like from the gifted individual’s viewpoint. As you would expect, giftedness manifests differently across populations, however there are some similarities that you will learn here, as well.
