In some cases, the screening/testing process of gifted children leaves out students who may qualify for screening based on non-test criteria. Dr. Renzulli developed an identification system to service students eligible for gifted programs called the “Three-Ring Conception of Giftedness”. After reading the article, think about one of your students who is identified as gifted. Consider the categories Dr. Renzulli discussed: academic giftedness and creative-productive giftedness.
