Obstacles to Overcome

Once you understand that there is a definite need to provide something other than the traditional, basic, teacher-lead educational experience for your diverse gifted population, you still have to overcome certain barriers.  You have to:

• Convince your administrator(s) that you will offer a research supported program of strategies.
• Cover the Sunshine State Standards.
• Help the parents of your students understand that their children are getting everything they need.
• Use the EP as a guide to be sure you are customizing the curriculum for each child’s strengths.
• Motivate all your students to perform to their potential.
